Affiliated to the British Heart Foundation

The Heart Support Group was formed in 1994 by patients, their carers and local health care professionals after the successful running of two Cardiac Rehabilitation Courses at Blandford Hospital.

 

We are an active group of  former heart patients who aim to improve the quality of life for ourselves and fellow heart patients and their families.  The group is primarily intended for people living in Blandford and the surrounding villages.  The Group is affiliated the British Heart Foundation

- the heart research charity.

 

In 1996 we were pleased to welcome Dr Simon Winterton Head of Cardiology at Dorset County Hospital who agreed to become our Honorary President.  Dr Winterton gives his support to the group.
